
Trio Boyarsky was established by
Konstantin Boyarsky in 2008. A few months after forming, the group was invited to
play at the Radio France Festival featuring concerts throughout the French
Riviera culminating in a filmed concert at Le Corum, Montpellier. They were
also featured extensively on the Mezzo TV channel. Since then they have
performed internationally including Sweden, Denmark, France, United Kingdom and
New Zealand in 2011. They have featured in the Royal Opera House’s Lunchtime Recitals
series, The Copenhagen Summer Festival, Lund Chamber Music series and many other chamber music festivals
and venues.They regularly collaborate with other talented musicians in piano
quartets and quintets, flute and oboe quartets and other ensembles.
In the Trio Konstantin Boyarsky is joined by two talented young musicians:
Benjamin Baker - an exceptional violinist from New Zealand who is currently studying in the UK at the Royal College of Music with Natasha Boyarsky, supported by a full ABRSM scholarship. In 2009 Benjamin was the youngest finalist in the prestigious YCAT (Young Concert Artists Trust) Competition at the Wigmore Hall and in 2011 was awarded 2nd Prize at the Postacchini International Violin Competition in Italy. He made his concerto debut aged 12 in Istanbul, Turkey and has since performed extensively across Europe as a soloist and chamber musician including festivals in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Sweden and New Zealand as well as major venues across the UK. During 2012 Benjamin is performing recitals in the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elisabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall and in February was awarded 1st prize in the Royal Overseas League Competition string section.
Amelia Jakobsson-Boyarsky, a versatile cellist, originates
from Sweden where she studied with Mats Rondin before moving to Denmark and
Canada to continue her studies with Morten Zeuthen and Matt Haimovitz. She
received many accolades and great acclaim, quickly establishing a reputation as
an enthusiastic advocate of new and unusual works for cello. Amelia has
received many prizes and scholarships, including First Prize in “Young
Soloist 2009” performing as a soloist with Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Second
Prize in “Ljunggrenska tavlingen 2009”, “Guido Vechi Prize”,
“Jarnakerstipendium 2011”, as well as several Concerto Competitions in
Scandinavia and Canada. She has
been broadcasted as a soloist on Swedish National Radio and Television, XM
Radio in USA and Radio Canada. Amelia is also fast establishing a reputation as
a talented soprano, often combining this with her work in the Trio.
